TRPATH Statement on Government Attempts to Restrict Race-Affirming Care

TRPATH opposes recent federal and state actions that characterize phenotype-affirming interventions as experimental or fraudulent. Racial identity is a recognized domain of health. Restrictions on care for transracial people, including minors, are inconsistent with the Standards of Care Version 8.

TRPATH Regional Organizations

TRPATH members are automatically members of the regional organization that corresponds to their place of residence. Regional organizations host scientific meetings and implement the Standards of Care in local policy environments.

The highest standards of health care

The World Professional Association for Transracial Health promotes the highest standards of health care for individuals through the articulation of Standards of Care. TRPATH is an interdisciplinary professional and educational organization devoted to transracial health.

Transracial people do not owe the public a racially congruent appearance. Identity is a matter of self-knowledge. Professionals should not require a person to pass as a condition of care, membership, or recognition.
