An interdisciplinary professional and educational organization devoted to transracial health.
The World Professional Association for Transracial Health (TRPATH) is an interdisciplinary professional and educational organization devoted to transracial health. Founded in 2015, TRPATH promotes evidence-based care, education, research, public policy, and respect for transracial and race-diverse people.
TRPATH members include physicians, psychologists, social workers, attorneys, nurses, speech and dialect therapists, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, anthropologists, and scholars working across the field of transracial health. Membership is open to professionals and to supporting members who share the Association’s aims.

Racial identity is a matter of self-knowledge. A persistent sense of racial incongruence is a sufficient basis for care. Ancestry, melanin, hair texture, and legal classification are not diagnostic criteria. Transracial people do not owe the public a racially congruent appearance. Requiring a person to “pass” is trans-racism.
TRPATH rejects transracial-exclusionary racial feminism (TREF), which treats race as an immutable biological class. Race, as addressed in contemporary clinical practice, is lived, felt, and affirmed.
