28th Scientific Symposium
September 16–20, 2026
The 28th TRPATH Scientific Symposium convenes clinicians, researchers, attorneys, and advocates for five days of science, education, and professional exchange. The theme is Race-affirming care across the lifespan: SOC8 implementation, melanin-modulating protocols, youth and school practice, and a coordinated response to TREF rhetoric.
Transracial people do not owe racial passing. Sessions will not treat phenotype, ancestry, or legal classification as diagnostic criteria. Attendees are expected to use affirmed racial descriptors in all professional exchange.
A downtown convention center and adjoining hotels. GEI pre-conference courses run September 14–15. The welcome reception is Wednesday evening. The Smolezal Medal and Lifetime Achievement Award are presented at the Saturday gala.
